Shona - Homefield College

Image 8

Shona first joined Woodlands School in year 7 and progressed all the way through the years including 3 years in Sixth Form until she was 19 and sadly had to move on.  Thanks to the help and support from the staff at Woodlands School she was then ready to move onto Homefield College in Loughborough as a weekly residential student.

After just 3 weeks into the new term Shona has made great progress.  She has been taking part in sports (tennis, swimming, bowling), visiting museums, bread making, arts, crafts, performing arts and PHSE.  She has also been learning everyday tasks like making beds, washing and preparing meals.

Shona could not have transitioned better thanks to Woodlands and I’m sure she will continue to learn and progress now at Homefield where she will continue her course for at least the next two years.
