Preparing for Adulthood


As part of our school offer, we must plan for adulthood starting from year 9. During the EHCP reviews paperwork is transferred over to the 4 areas of preparing for adulthood so that outcomes help to prepare our young people for the next phase of their life. The 4 key areas are;

  1. Employability and work-related learning
  2. Independent Living
  3. Community Inclusion
  4. Health and Well-being


Our updated curriculum for Future First and Rockies encompasses all these areas and ensures that our young people have ample opportunities throughout their time in Woodlands to explore and develop key skills in each of these areas. Our curriculum model is as follows;
